Read Across America Night

On March 5, 2020  many students, parents, and teachers attended our Rock & Read Night.
The students and parents enjoyed musical activities with Mr. Howell, GMAS sight word Bingo, readings by Mrs. Sanchez and the Jr. Beta Club Members, received a free book of his/her choice, and engaged in a host of other integrating literacy activities.
We hope to see you next year for another fun & exciting Rock & Read Night.

It is imperative that students arrive to school each day on time. We begin instruction at 7:20 and as students enter the classrooms they are required to complete reading assignments to improve their lexile scores.
When your child is late, they lose valuable instructional time that they need to master assessments throughout the year. Please read with your child each day and ask them to discuss their lexile scores with you and set goals for improvement.

Swint is one of the 1,037 Georgia schools that beat the odds in 2016, performing better than statistically expected on the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI).  The Beating the Odds analysis predicts a range within which a school’s CCRPI score is statistically expected to fall; given the school’s size, grade cluster, student mobility, and student demographics (including race/ethnicity, disability, English learners, and poverty).  If an individual school’s actual CCRPI is above the predicted range, then that school beat the odds.
