Academic Points of Pride

At E. J. Swint, our continuous and remarkable progress utilizing Eagles Enrichment, Eagles Annotated Notes, and Teacher of the Month stands as a testament to our collective commitment to fostering a culture of academic excellence and personalized learning, propelling our students towards success.

•  In reading, we celebrate an impressive increase in overall content mastery from 40.46 to 49.58. This growth includes a 7% decrease in Level I learners, a steady hold in Level II, and a combined increase of nearly 7% in Level III and IV learners—with Level IV more than doubling. Similarly, in mathematics, content mastery rose from 44.18 to 48.32, driven by a notable 8% decrease in Level I learners and a combined 7% increase in Level III and IV learners, including a nearly 3% gain in Level IV alone. These gains reflect the strength of our instructional strategies and the hard work of both our students and staff. (Eagles Enrichment)
• Through the strategic use of these symbols, our teachers have equipped students with a powerful tool to engage in Close Reading strategies with confidence and efficacy that demonstrate remarkable proficiency in identifying main ideas and making connections within texts. (Eagles Annotated Notes)

Athletic Points of Pride

At E. J. Swint Elementary, our athletic programs encompassing cheerleading, football, soccer, and basketball—stand as a pinnacle of excellence within our school community. These programs serve as a source of inspiration, uniting students, staff, and families under a common banner of pride, achievement, and school spirit. Among them, our basketball team represents far more than just athletic competition—it stands as a symbol of school pride, leadership, and holistic excellence. Composed of driven 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders, the E.J. Swint Eagles are held to the highest standards both on and off the court. As student-athletes, they embody the core values of academic achievement, exemplary behavior, and school ambassadorship.

 

• Basketball Stats: Dominic Whisby selected for All County and led the league in scoring
• Soccer Stats: Anderson Alvarado scored 19 goals on his way to being named Region 3 Athlete of the Year.  We finished undefeated Region 3 champions. We finished runner up in the county. This is our second straight winning season.
